While you may not own the console anymore, you can still play the Nintendo classic games on your iPhone and iPad. Thanks to the developers who have developed the SNEs4iOS emulator that allows you to play Nintendo games on your mobile devices.

SNES Emulator or SNES4iOS is an emulator that allows you to play Nintendo Entertainment System games on your iDevice.

SNES is one of the best emulator available for iOS devices like the iPhone and iPad. You can install the SNES4iOS emulator and play the old retro games on your smartphone. This is also a good alternative to other popular alternatives like GBA4iOS and NDS4iOS on iOS.

The SENS emulator is not officially available on the Apple App Store due to some policy reasons. But, that won’t stop us from installing the SNES Emulator on iOS. Here, I, show you how to install SNES Emulator on iOS using the SNES IPA file and PC.

Requirements

SNES Emulator IPA file. Get it from here.

Cydia Impactor. You need to download and install Cydia Impactor to be able to install SNES Emulator. Download it for Windows or Mac from the given link.

Download SNES Emulator on iOS

Connect your iPhone to PC or Mac using the data cable.

Launch Cydia Impactor on the PC and wait for it to detect the connected iPhone. Once connected your iPhone should be visible in the drop-down menu. Select your iDevice from the drop-down menu.

Find the downloaded IPA file and drag and drop it in the Cydia Impactor.

Enter your Apple ID when asked in the next window. You can create a secondary Apple ID just in case you don’t want to use your primary email ID.

When the warning message appears saying the developer is untrusted, click on OK. Wait for the Cydia Impactor to sign the certificate and install the app on your iOS device.

Cydia Impactor will show a complete message if the installation is successful. Don’t launch the SNES emulator app just now because you need to trust the certificate before starting the app.

Go to Settings > General > Device Management / Profile. Find the SNES emulator profile and tap on Trust to trust the SNES emulator app. You can disconnect the iPhone from the PC or Mac.

To open the SNES Emulator app, go to the home screen and tap on the SNES emulator app to launch it. Browse the app to find old retro Nintendo game ROMs and install them for free. You can also use your own Nintendo ROMs that you may have downloaded from third-party sources.
